Happy Ganesh Chathurthi to all

Wishing a great year of health, peace and prosperity.

I am sure most of us would have welcomed the elephant head god home...I make it a point to make my own eco-friendly idol at home, but this year I am unable to :)...Sharing pictures of the ones I made in the last three years and wishing everyone a wonderful season of festivities :)

2009 - whole wheat ganesha

2010 - Raagi, whole wheat, corn meal, oats and rice pillayaar (Ganesha)

2011 - Orange as the thoppai (tummy) and whole wheat and corn meal Ganesha

I hope to get back to making my idol next year...May Vinayaka (ganesha) - Removes all the obstacles and brings in happiness, good health, peace and prosperity to all...:)

Nothing to do with design

BethTerry has been inspiring many people, and she is driving change...I have been working towards it for the last16 years..I write a green blog as well...dint have the right attitude to communicate my efforts..But then, I admire people like Beth who have the right attitude and mental strength to speak out...Sharing her video here because, this is what i believe in..I have had enough of not reflecting my strong fundamentals and beliefs in sensible living.. just because its not appealing to others!

Happening Now ~ Green Week Conference in Brussels

No, this post is not misplaced and yes I intend to put it up here on the Design Enthusiast as well..My green ideologies are not different from the design enthusiast part of me. I appreciate reuse, repurpose and refuse fundamentals..and do not believe in recycling...not everything is recyclable and nor is the process very eco-friendly...I do not associate with the idea that you can get away with non earth friendly choices and just use the "REcycle" excuse..
